The Main Event
The man with the mohawk sat in section 203 all by himself when she walked by. She waited for a man and his child to move and then she took her seat. After a couple of minutes, she stepped into the row behind the mohawk man and asked him if he was american. He knew the game was in play and if he played it right he would be able to line up his first option for the rest of the night. She was a bit older than his 25 years, but she was still in decent shape and she had a good smile and he could tell she wasn't looking for attachment. He was accustomed to women approaching him and as ridiculous as that sounds to most men, he wasn't flattered or humbled by the experience. He just tried to use it to his advantage. He knew that his personality gave off a certain, approachable, friendly vibe and that his body was tight. He exerted just the right amount of sexual tension...not enough to scare aware prospective partners but strong enough that the partner knew he was more than ready when she was.
He tested her a bit. He casually mention two incidents where a couple of pints of beer lead to some good fun. First on the overnight train ride from Shanghai to Beijing, and second with some Aussie mates he ran into at The Den the night before. The mention of beer was not an accident as she wasn't drinking. 10 more minutes of small talk passed and she got up to get some pre-event snacks. When she returned with two draft beers, he knew she was an option he could exercise at anytime that evening.
But as cold and callous as that sounds, he was not a cold and callous man. He was truly kind and generous. He did not solicit the attention, but he did enjoy it, and he learned a long time ago not to bring women into the game who were looking for attachment. Only the ones looking for companionship and breakfast.
When the night had turned into a solid dawn he walked by the other man again but in his high state didn't make the connection. He tried to hi-five an ayi but she just stared at him confused. He entered the apartment building and settled into his bed, his bed, alone.
